Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee is seeking a Weekend Program MRI Technologist to join a high‑performing radiology team.

The role spans a 32‑hour weekend schedule and offers exposure to a state‑of‑the‑art imaging environment with multiple MRI systems (GE & Siemens). You will perform a wide range of exams including MSK, neurological, body and specialty imaging; obtain patient history, administer contrast under Radiologist direction, ensure accurate imaging, and document results.

Qualifications

• MRI certification required (CAMRT/ARMRIT/ARRT) or equivalent.
• ARRT registration required within 2 years if not already.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic exams (MSK, neuro, body, small joints).
• Obtain medical history, verify orders, and administer contrast under Radiologist direction.
• Position patients, set scanning parameters, ensure image quality and magnet safety.
• Post-process images and label with patient information and location.
• Enter study data into RIS and code procedures for billing.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Assist patient handling with lifting and safe techniques; provide age-appropriate care.
