Job summary

Allied Universal in Pacific Palisades, CA is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to safeguard clients at a premier commercial real estate location. You will patrol, monitor access, assist tenants and visitors, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You can build a flexible weekend schedule (Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM; Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM) and join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
