Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks an experienced News Anchor to serve as the primary presenter across platforms. You will deliver stories with clarity and impact, lead daily newscasts, and coordinate with a newsroom team to ensure journalistic integrity and high production quality.

You will also engage in writing, research, field reporting, interviews, and social media interaction to connect with audiences while adapting to breaking news and urgent situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to ad lib.
• Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
• Superior on-air presence.
• Excellent news judgment; knowledge of current events.
• Experience guiding, directing and motivating others.
• Ability to coach/mentor others.
• Proficiency with office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
• Strong listening and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Present news stories and content for all platforms.
• Ensure all content meets company standards for integrity and production quality.
• Write and deliver news stories clearly and concisely.
• Produce newscasts and direct the team.
• Assist in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating news programming.
• Act as a field reporter as assigned.
• Conduct interviews with news personnel and others.
• Respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
• Participate in promotional activities including public appearances.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Edit video clips as assigned.
• Write content for the website and eMedia platforms.
• Interact with viewers on social media.
