Job summary

Canfor in Camden, SC is seeking a skilled Millwright to keep our sawmill equipment running at peak performance on the 2nd shift. You will join a high‑performance team responsible for pumps, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems across manufacturing processes.

You’ll perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, inspect machinery for irregularities, and troubleshoot to boost uptime. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining mill machinery (pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, bearings) in industrial settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues to maximize uptime.
• Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing equipment.
• Experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mill machinery and components to keep production running smoothly.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance and inspect equipment for irregularities.
• Troubleshoot issues, improve equipment reliability, and implement safe fixes.
