Job summary

WTOC-TV/Gray Media in Savannah, GA is seeking a full-time meteorologist to join the First Alert Weather Team and cover weekend newscasts. You will deliver engaging and dynamic weather content across multiple platforms, educating our audience.

The role includes forecasting, anchoring, creating social content, and updating the station’s website and apps. A strong on-air presence and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in meteorology or related field.
• Minimum two years on-air meteorologist experience.
• Familiarity with The Weather Company (WSI) Max.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and deliver engaging weather segments for weekend newscasts.
• Produce and anchor weather segments for WTOC+, streaming and digital platforms.
• Create dynamic social media weather content for WTOC platforms.
• Update WTOC core platforms (website, apps) with timely forecasts.
• Research and pitch live weather segments for weekday shifts.
• Collaborate with First Alert Weather team during severe weather coverage.
• Fill in for other meteorologists as needed during the week.
