Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Tulsa, OK is seeking a route courier responsible for picking up and delivering specimens, ensuring proper handling and timely transport to the Core Laboratory. You will maintain client relations and complete administrative forms as part of daily duties.

Applicants should have a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and excellent communication and customer service skills in a team

Qualifications

• Verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
• Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Previous Medical Laboratory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to perform basic route services as required.
• Pick up specimens and verify that test requisitions are correctly filled out and specimens submitted properly.
• Deliver specimens to designated laboratory/distribution site using proper handling and transport methods.
• Establish and maintain positive client relations.
• Complete and submit administrative forms such as route logs and requisitions.
• Help with packing of specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory.
• Maintain compliance with safety and driving regulations.
