Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver for weekend shifts in Morrisville, NC. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a base rate of $16.00 per hour and a $1.00 per hour weekend differential.

You will transport medical specimens, records, pharmaceuticals and related materials in a company vehicle, using a handheld scanner and maintaining safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Maintain professional appearance and interaction with clients and the public.
• Load and unload items with appropriate equipment.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
• Adapt routes as needed based on client and business needs and collaborate with teammates.
