Job summary

MedSpeed's Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Morrisville, NC is a full-time role paying $16.00/hr on a Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule. You will safely operate a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials, while upholding safety and service standards.

We seek 19+ drivers with at least 3 years of licensed driving, strong customer service, dependability, and comfort with technology.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Must have an excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
• Route duties vary based on client and business needs and may be assigned across routes.
