Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative – Weekend Only Medical Driver in Lexington, KY. You will spend most of your day driving a company vehicle, transporting medical specimens and supplies, while using a handheld scanner to track items and ensure safety compliance.

Weekend shifts include a differential, and you’ll join a team dedicated to reliable service and patient care. Requirements include at least 3 years of driving with a valid license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and scanning devices.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have an excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items from company vehicles.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Route assignments may vary and must be performed across routes.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to support operations.
