Job summary

LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants for Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist roles across Florida to support Florida Army National Guard medical readiness. Work is weekends with occasional weekdays; part-time as needed.

Duties include phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals, vision screening, and HIPAA-compliant data handling. Qualifications include CPR/BLS, phlebotomy certification if drawing blood, a high school diploma, a valid US driver’s license, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• CPRBLS Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Certification if doing blood draws
• A valid US drivers license
• Excellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clientele
• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care
• 1 year(s) experience in a medical/dental setting
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
• Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
• Must submit no less than two professional references with resume

Responsibilities

• Set up, break down, and maintain workstation equipment
• Provide Phlebotomy Services (blood draws) with labeling and packaging
• Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Record vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Conduct vision screenings using Snellen chart
• Maintain accurate data on vials, sign-in sheets, requisitions
• Review documentation to identify Soldiers required screenings/tests
• Safeguard all patient information and ensure HIPAA compliance
