UnityPoint Health – Meriter in Madison, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for weekend shift (Sat & Sun, 7am-5pm) at 0.2 FTE (8 hours/week). The MA supports a clinic care team of RNs, PAs, NPs and physicians, performing technical and clerical tasks in ambulatory settings and may fill in for phlebotomy as needed.

Required: completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and CPR certification; LPN or EMT options are acceptable.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (One year program at Vocational School) and is certified or eligible for certification or registration as a Medical Assistant by an accrediting organization or association OR completion of an LPN program OR EMT certified
• Current CPR certification
• Enjoys working with variety of patient ages and conditions/diagnosis
• Excellent organizational, internal, and external service excellence skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present oneself as a professional
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever changing environment with multiple priorities

Responsabilidades

• The MA functions as a member of the clinic’s patient care team that includes registered nurses, clinic assistants, technicians, clerical staff, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians.
• The MA performs technical, patient related functions and clerical functions in the ambulatory setting.
• The MA is aware of psychosocial needs of patients and families and will support clinic operations and deliver patient care focusing on safe, quality care.
• The position may fill in for phlebotomy as needed.
