Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is seeking a Masker Trainee - Weekend Crew to support jet engine component masking processes. The weekend shift runs from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, with a choice of one 12-hour day or two 6-hour days Monday through Friday, totaling 36 hours, paid at 40 hours.

It is a full-time on-site role. The position requires masking parts from OEM customers, following precise procedures to protect blades, vanes and other components during in-house processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon access eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Mask parts using tapes, waxes, solutions and fixtures per job instructions.
• Perform dry masking using powder, cups and a dry press to protect areas on parts.
• Follow internal routers, manuals or visual references to perform masking correctly.
• Inspect own work and ensure proper masking before parts move to the next process.
• Demonstrate proper handling of hazardous materials and safe waste containerization.
