Virtu Financial in Austin seeks Weekend Traders to cover Saturday and/or Sunday as part of the regular workweek. Traders act as risk managers, ensuring our 24/7 trading systems operate smoothly and maintaining high-performance algorithmic strategies.

You will work with software engineers to refine trading strategies and understand market microstructure. Ideal candidates have a quantitative degree, 1-3 years at a financial institution, and programming experience in Python, SQL, Java, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; strong candidates considered.
• 1-3 years’ experience at a financial institution.
• Programming experience is required (Python, SQL, Java or C++).
• Willingness to work on weekends (Sat/Sun) as part of regular schedule.

Responsibilities
