Marvin is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Technician II in Overland Park, KS to troubleshoot production equipment and perform repairs with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and skilled use of mill, lathe, welding, and fabrication techniques.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of related maintenance experience and an associate degree in a technical field. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive Marvin benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of related maintenance experience or technical training.
• Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills; machining with mill/lathe preferred.
• Knowledge of EAM software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Document repairs and preventive maintenance using the work order system (EAM).
• Inspect and repair production equipment; train others on repair techniques.
• Set up new equipment and choose effective repair methods.
• Interpret blueprints/ drawings; perform machining and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate welding and fabrication techniques; maintain a clean workspace.
• Provide status updates and end-of-shift reports to supervisors.
• Uphold safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.

Job description

The Weekend Maintenance Technician II will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This positionis responsible for analyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently. Plus, receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team!

Work Schedule:

Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm

Highlights of your role:

• Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the plant.
• Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment;assistin machine repairs and train others on proper repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
• Set up new equipment; troubleshoot using specialty tools and make decisions on effective repair methods.
• Interpret blueprints and part drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
• Apply basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and lathe.
• Demonstrate understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status andsubmitend-of-shift reports.
• Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training andinitiatives.
