Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV for the weekend shift to support manufacturing across production areas. You will establish, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, focusing on power transmission and control systems, with opportunities for specialization and training.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems and equipment alignment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic systems using schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic and process control systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and test AC/DC/Servo motors in manual and automated control circuits.
• Ability to use a multimeter to measure voltage, current, continuity, amperage, and resistance throughout a circuit.
• Ability to safely use hoists and other equipment to rig and move parts and machinery.
• Must have own tools. A required tool list will be provided, and tools must be on site within two weeks of hire.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment throughout the production areas.
• Identify and repair electrical and mechanical defects.
• Serve as a Competency Specialist for RCA, Lubrication, PDM, or other equipment specialties.
• Help establish standards for assigned areas while aligning with Dessert Holdings standards.
• Effectively complete assigned PM plans to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Participate in RCA for equipment and process failures and provide corrective recommendations.
• Install, align, and adjust mechanical power transmission components, including gearboxes and bearings.
• Troubleshoot and repair power transmission systems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, including diagnostics and machine rebuilds.
• Train operators on maintenance techniques when needed.
• Document maintenance activities accurately within the CMMS and follow CMMS processes.
• Support the PM program to continually reduce downtime.
• Follow food safety and quality requirements (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
• Work safely with mechanical, fluid power, electrical power, welding, and environmental requirements.
