Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a WI RN for a Long Term Care position requiring weekend day/PM shifts and an active WI RN license. The role is based in Wisconsin, with a 13-week assignment and a full-time weekend schedule including rotating day and evening shifts.

You will lead on the floor, assist CNAs, manage medications, wound care, and resident assessments while ensuring timely communication of changes to physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license or compact license required.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
• Two-year nursing degree required, four-year degree preferred.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a nursing home (long term care) setting.
• Full-time weekend schedule with rotating day and PM shifts.
• 13-week assignment.
• Shifts include Sat., Sun., Wed., and Fri. ranging from 6a-830pm or 2p-1030pm with Mon./Tues./Thurs. off.
• Assist with day-to-day nursing activities including medication administration, wound care, and resident assessments.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting.
• Act as a leader on the floor, directing care and assisting CNAs as needed.
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
