Job summary

University Health KC in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Lakewood Long Term Care unit. This part-time position (Sat-Sun, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) offers 24 hours weekly, delivering direct care, administering medications, and documenting care under nursing leadership.

You will supervise CNAs, coordinate with medical staff, assist with assessments, and participate in quality improvement while upholding nursing standards and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current Missouri LPN license.
• BCLS certification.
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting or similar clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care and monitor residents’ conditions.
• Supervise and mentor direct care and ancillary staff.
• Communicate with medical staff and advocate for resident needs.
• Assist with assessments, admissions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with current nursing standards and maintain professional credentials.
