Job summary

University Health KC's UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Long Term Care Unit. The part-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) supports residents by administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care under the Director of Nursing.

You will supervise CNAs and CMTs, participate in assessments and admissions, and help drive quality improvement while ensuring compliance with nursing standards and state/federal

Qualifications

• BCLS certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care settings preferred.
• Graduate of an Accredited LPN/LVN program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care and monitor residents' conditions
• Supervise and mentor direct care staff
• Communicate with medical staff and advocate for resident needs
• Assist with assessments, admissions, and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with current nursing standards and maintain professional credentials
• Foster a safe, culturally sensitive, and resident-centered environment
