Job summary

Galerie Management in Atlanta, GA is seeking a part-time Wellness Nurse to manage resident care needs within our community. You will hire, train, supervise, and schedule Resident Assistants, CNAs, and CMAs, and monitor changes in residents’ conditions.

You will alert the Wellness Director to changes, address resident and family concerns, and collaborate with families through care plan meetings, emails, and calls, while helping manage staffing and budget.

Qualifications

  • Maintain a current active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience and at least 2 years of people leadership experience (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and direct overall community operation per laws and Galerie Management guidelines.
  • Alert Wellness Director to changes in resident condition and track incidents.
  • Participate in Move In assessments as requested by Wellness Director.
  • Communicate with families via care plan meetings, emails, and calls.
  • Support families' social and emotional needs and encourage involvement.
  • Assist Wellness Director with staffing hours and patterns for variable staffing.
  • Understand and manage department budget including labor and expenses.
  • Assist in hiring, training, supervision, coaching and discipline of clinical staff.
  • Complete scheduling for clinical staff and on-call duties.

Summary

The Wellness Nurse is responsible for managing and addressing resident care needs within the community. The Wellness Nurse will hire, train, supervise, and schedule the Resident Assistants, CNAs, and CMAs. They will monitor resident care needs, alert the Wellness Director when a resident has a change in condition, and address both resident and family concerns.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Plans, organizes, develops and assists in directing the overall operation of the community in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, and Galerie Management regulations and guidelines.
  • Partners with Wellness Director by alerting to any change of condition of the resident including tracking incident reporting.
  • Participates in the Move In process by completing initial assessments as requested by the Wellness Director.
  • Communicates regularly with families through care plan meetings, emails, and phones calls.
  • Acts as a resource and meets the families social and emotional needs while encouraging family involvement.
  • Assists Wellness Director in monitoring employee hours worked and staffing patterns to assure the maximization of variable staffing.

Qualifications
