Requirements include an active LPN/LVN license, CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience, preferably in correctional health care. The role involves documentation and collaboration with providers, with benefits and full compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid LPN or LVN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical LPN experience.
• One year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School required.

Responsibilities

• Respond and intervene in all emergency situations.
• Conduct patient intake paperwork.
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medications.
• Conduct Sick Call clinic.
• Order and maintain supply of patient medications from pharmacy.
• Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care and collected labs.
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and sick calls.
• Monitor for and document changes in patient condition.
• Document all patient information and nursing care accurately.
• Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within timeframes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
• Follow QCHC policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
