Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of Lexington is seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team. You will provide essential support to clients in their homes, helping with daily activities and promoting independence.

Responsibilities include companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, monitoring health, and accurate documentation. CPR/First Aid and Kentucky CNA license are required.

Qualifications

• CNA license in Kentucky in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in caregiving is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel within Central Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare and serve meals, and accommodate dietary needs.

• Administer medications as instructed.

• Escort clients to appointments, social activities, and errands as needed.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communicate effectively with team members.
• Participate in training and professional development sessions as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day, including traveling to different client homes.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching to provide care, and perform assessments.
• Ability to see and hear accurately to monitor client conditions, read plans of care, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Must be able to wear required PPE (e.g., masks, gloves, gowns) for extended periods as needed for infection control if required.
• Ability to work in various environments, including client homes, which may involve different levels of accessibility, lighting, and temperature.
