Job summary

The RT will assess and treat residents with diverse respiratory conditions, initiate therapies, document daily activities, attend IDT meetings, and support nursing staff with quarterly in-services. Must have state license (RRT/CRT) and BLS.

Schedule includes 4-6 hours per shift, may extend to 8 hours based on caseload, and requires Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory Therapy program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT, in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for residents with respiratory and related illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments and ensure accurate daily documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and provide respiratory input.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is preferred.
• Follow facility procedures and participate in departmental policy and procedure updates.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
