Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat residents independently, operate respiratory equipment, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning to enhance patient experience.

Responsibilities include bedside therapies, documentation, and staff in-services, with experience in tracheostomy care and pulmonary programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients with respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment
• Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings
• Follow facility procedures and policies; track audits and caseloads
• Manage airway clearance, chest physiotherapy, and CPAP/BiPAP therapies

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
