Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Berry Hill, TN seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents, perform bedside therapies, and work with the geriatric population to improve their experience.

Candidates must hold a state license (RRT or CRT) and BLS, be able to work independently without supervision, and participate in interdisciplinary care to support resident recovery and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed.
• Licensed in the state of practice with BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care setting and with tracheotomy.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for patients with various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and complete staff in-services quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Handle caseload management and perform respiratory interventions as described.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
