The YMCA of Boca Raton Florida Inc. is seeking a Weekend Head Lifeguard for the Devos Blum Family YMCA in Boynton Beach, FL.

This role leads the lifeguard team on weekend shifts, enforces safety rules, and ensures a clean, welcoming aquatic environment while responding to emergencies with CPR/BLS and oxygen administration. You will monitor performance, address safety concerns, and coordinate with the Aquatics Director to maintain ratios and program quality.

Qualifications

• Current YMCA Lifeguard Certification or accepted equivalent.
• Current CPR-BLS, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certifications, with YMCA crossover if required.
• Ability to pass pre-hire lifeguard skills test.
• Minimum 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend lifeguard operations and supervise the lifeguard team.
• Enforce pool rules and procedures per YMCA standards.
• Maintain appropriate staff surveillance and rescue readiness.
• Perform water rescues, CPR/BLS, First Aid, and oxygen administration as needed.
• Coordinate with Aquatics Director on shifts, trainings, and safety.
• Document incidents, performance concerns, and policy violations.
• Assist with weekend swim lessons or aquatic classes when required.
