Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a phlebotomist to support routine specimen collection and processing in a CMS/ CLIA-compliant setting. This role includes venipunctures and specimen prep.

No experience is required, though 1 year as a phlebotomist and EKG experience are preferred. CPT certification is preferred and a GED is required. A sign-on bonus is available, with a special weekend shift option (9a-9p Sat/Sun; Fri 2-10p).

Qualifications

• GED is required.
• No experience required; 1 year as phlebotomist preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
• Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• CPT - Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
