National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our busy veterinary hospital and boarding facility. This role offers an opportunity for high school or college students to gain hands‑on experience in animal care while exploring a veterinary medical career.

You will feed, water, exercise, and supervise boarded and hospitalized pets, learn animal handling techniques, and assist with baths and basic administrative tasks. Training is provided, and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• No prior veterinary or animal care experience required; training provided.
• Weekend availability is required (Saturdays and Sundays).
• Comfort in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide fresh water to boarded/hospitalized animals according to schedule.
• Safely handle and restrain pets using low-stress techniques.
• Clean and disinfect kennels, condos, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Exercise, monitor, and provide enrichment for boarding pets.
• Assist with bath packages including nail trims and ear cleaning.
• Support the team with basic administrative tasks and learn hospital software.
