Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Weekend Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform IR examinations under supervision. The role requires ARRT recognition, at least 1 year of staff technologist experience, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered, or ARRT registry eligible.
• Minimum of 1-year staff technologist experience.
• At least 1-year experience in interventional radiology preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• History of computer usage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Directly assists Radiologist during interventional radiology procedures as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure continuity of care for patients in the interventional radiology section.
• Communicate clinical observations to Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrate competency with RIS/HIS modules relevant to the role.
• Inject contrast for procedures per department policy.
• Provide patient education about examinations.
• Provide coverage for CT biopsies as needed.
• Instruct students in specified technology when site allows.
• Maintain professional development through in-services and continuing education.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to ensure accurate information for continuity of care.
