Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Radiologic Technologist to directly assist Radiologists during interventional radiology procedures and ensure continuity of patient care in the IR section. The role involves administering contrast, educating patients, and supporting CT biopsy coverage.

Applicants should graduate from an ARRT-recognized program or be ARRT registry eligible, with a NJ license and BLS within 3 months. IR/cath lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARRT-recognized program or ARRT registry eligible.
• Must pass ARRT registry within 1 year of hire date.
• NJ state Radiologic Technologist License required before hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• IR or Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist during interventional radiology procedures.
• Ensure continuity of care in IR section.
• Communicate clinical observations during procedures.
• Inject contrast according to department policy.
• Educate patients about their examination.
• Provide coverage for CT biopsies as needed.
• Train students in the applicable technology.
• Maintain professional development through in-services and/or continuing education.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to assure accurate information.
