Job summary

Horizon Health at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville, LA, seeks a part-time Social Worker for our 16-bed inpatient psychiatric unit serving ages 18+. You will provide high-quality psychotherapy, assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role supports patients and families, offers weekend duties, and may supervise junior staff. Must have Master's in Social Work, licensure, CPR/BLS/ACLS, and crisis prevention experience; UHS

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required; LMSW preferred.
• Valid state social work license required.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Crisis prevention experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements a treatment plan based on comprehensive assessment data.
• Participates in referral development and discharge planning with families.
• Conducts individual and group psychotherapy; weekends as needed.
• Works with multidisciplinary team and participates in unit meetings.
• Submits CQI+ outcome data weekly and performs assigned duties.
