Job summary

University Health is seeking an Inpatient Behavioral Health Operations Coordinator for weekend days in NKC. This role serves as the primary contact for the department’s administrative operations and supports patients, visitors, providers, and staff while coordinating communications and data; reports and registration duties are included.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for patients, visitors, staff, and providers.
• Coordinate department communications and respond to requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Create, organize, and maintain confidential reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
• Collect and enter data and assist with developing reports and spreadsheets.
• Provide inpatient bedside registration and maintain patient information.
• Maintain administrative supplies and inventory.
• Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist with customer service needs.
• Support department meetings, filing, and other administrative activities.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
• Promote quality improvement, patient and staff safety, cultural diversity, and excellent customer service.
• Maintain compliance with applicable policies, regulations, HIPAA, and organizational standards.
