Job summary

Novellis Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate per diem Infusion RN in New York to join our healthcare team. This role entails administering intravenous medications and monitoring Oncology patients. Responsibilities include managing patients with oncologic diagnoses, maintaining vascular access, and ensuring a safe treatment environment. Qualifications include a current RN NY license, 2+ years experience in oncology settings, and BLS certification. Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM are required.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
Current RN NY state license.
2+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient oncology setting preferred.
2+ years of peripheral IV experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Bilingual Hindi or Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate skills under physician supervision.
Exhibit passion for and experience in Oncology patient care.
Manage patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
Administer IV and oral medications and maintain vascular access devices.
Mix and administer chemotherapy drugs.
Maintain a safe environment for patients throughout treatment.
Triages patient/family phone calls and documents information in patient's chart.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching.
