Penn Medicine's Perelman Infusion Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for weekend work (16 hours weekly) to support sterile preparation and delivery of medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role requires attention to detail, excellent organization, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with emphasis on safety, infection control, and collaboration with ID clinicians.

Qualifications

• CPhT- Certified Pharmacy Tech is required.
• Registered Technician with PA State Board is required.
• H.S. Diploma/GED is required for this role.
• Infusion pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care as part of a collaborative ID team to service patients on intravenous antibiotics.
• Coordinates care with home infusion providers, rehab centers, and SNFs for IV antimicrobials.
• Provides follow-up communication to patients and families regarding pharmacotherapeutic needs.
• Coordinates ID clinic appointment dates with internal clinic members.
• Collaborates with ID pharmacists and providers to coordinate care between clinics and outside facilities.
• Ensures laboratory parameters are drawn and results are communicated to the ID clinic.
