Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Charles City, Iowa for a Registered Nurse to work with a pediatric patient in the patient’s own home. Weekend shift hours are available, with competitive pay and weekly paychecks.

The role involves planning, implementing and evaluating care, administering medications, and coordinating with prescribers and supervisors to meet patient goals in a home health setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate (facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient status changes.
• Delivers therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing actions per diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and monitors treatment effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and goals.
