Job summary

Cappella Grand Junction in Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to maintain resident apartments and common areas, including laundering linens and personal clothing. This role requires flexibility to perform duties in both housekeeping and laundry as needed.

The position entails cleaning duties, following checklists, and delivering clean items to residents, with a Saturday-Sunday schedule and a generally flexible work pattern.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of experience in housekeeping and/or laundry procedures, preferably in a medical facility.
• Ability to complete tasks from a checklist operation schedule.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Dust and polish furniture, mirrors, and other room items.
• Disinfect countertops, sinks, bathrooms, and floors.
• Vacuum carpets and common areas, nursing stations, hallways, med rooms.
• Refill paper products and soap; empty trash.
• Clean common areas and public bathrooms on each unit.
• Perform detailed cleaning assignments as directed.
• Ensure washing and drying machines are used consistently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold resident personal clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean personal items to residents.
