Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Housekeeper for a long-term care facility to maintain a safe, clean, and odor-free environment. Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and storage spaces while following safety procedures and using proper signage.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, English fluency, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required; there is no supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to read and understand procedure manuals and directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
