Qualifications

• One to three years security experience required.
• HS diploma / GED required.
• Ability to communicate well with both patients and staff.
• Ability to take charge in difficult situations and have good decision making skills.
• Knowledge of safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order within the facility and enforce hospital rules and regulations.
• Provide expertise in all campus / staff / patient concerns related to safety and security.
• Proficient in video surveillance and reviewing of recorded tape, when required.
• Skilled and timely use of radio or telephone communication to police, fire or emergency agencies as the situation dictates.
• Advises Security Director of deficiencies noted and suggests changes.
• Notify Director of all lights that need replacing.
• Manning of the Security Booth and monitoring of Visitor App and CCTV.
• Provide support to nursing supervisor on scheduled shift.
• Assist Police Officers when they are called to campus.
