Mercy Fort Smith is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide skilled hospice care to terminally ill patients in their homes. The role emphasizes high-quality nursing, adherence to physician orders, and thorough documentation within an EMR.

Ideal candidates will have strong observation and assessment abilities, excellent communication, and the capacity to work well within an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families during end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be a licensed driver.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled professional nursing care to terminally ill patients in their place of residence as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with nursing standards.
• Adhere to physician orders and established nursing standards.
• Document care promptly in the EMR and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient comfort and family needs.
• Support patients and families through end-of-life care and bereavement processes.
