Hospice of South Texas is seeking a Full-Time Weekend Certified Nursing Aide for Homecare. This role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, focusing on safe transfers and compassionate daily support in home settings.

Applicants must complete an approved CNA program, have at least one year of experience, and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. High school diploma preferred; English literacy required for care documentation and instructions.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved Certified Nursing Aide program in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
• At least one year experience; preferably as a Hospice Aide or CNA in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, or long-term care facility.
• Must read and write English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care to patients under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Assist patients with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
• Report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patients to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice infection control principles and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Promote the agency philosophy and policies to ensure quality of care.
