Job summary

Hospice of South Texas seeks a PRN Certified Nursing Aide to provide compassionate homecare services under RN direction. You will assist patients with daily activities, maintain a safe home environment, and document observations for the supervisor.

Qualified candidates have completed an approved CNA program and hold state registration, with at least one year of experience in hospice, hospital, or long-term care preferred. Day shift; non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved CNA program in good standing on state registry.
• At least one year of experience preferred in hospice, hospital, nursing home, home health or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under direction of the RN.
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
• Report changes and document pertinent information to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice infection control principles and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with treatments and procedures per agency policy.
