Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse to provide and document skilled nursing care per the care plan and physician orders in patients' homes in Omaha, NE. This PRN weekend role includes on-call after-hours once a month and requires confidentiality and professional boundaries.

You will work with the clinical team to educate patients and families, train caregivers, and coordinate care with physicians. A valid RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• An active RN License in the state of application.
• Valid Driver's License and CPR certification.
• Proof of Automobile Insurance.
• Preferred: Medicare Skilled Nursing experience.
• Preferred: Basic understanding of Oasis.
• Preferred: 1-year RN experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop a care plan from physician orders and nursing assessment with measurable goals.
• Educate clients and families based on individual needs.
• Orient and train primary caregivers to ensure optimal function.
• Coordinate hands-on care through documentation and communication with physicians.
• Provide home care using skills like triage, education, wound care, infusions, catheter care, and PICC dressing changes.
