Job summary

VNS Health is seeking compassionate Certified Home Health Aides to cover weekend cases and support clients in their homes. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and ensure patient safety under an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires NYS HHA training or equivalency, ability to read at a basic level, and basic writing and math skills. Compensation ranges from $19.50 to $22.00 per hour and emphasizes respect for client rights and infection control.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of NYS Health Department approved HHA Training Program or Equivalency.
• Sixth grade reading comprehension level.
• Writing and math skill level to the extent necessary for the job functions.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support, including ambulation, transfers, ostomy care, and assistance with medical equipment and self-administered medication.
• Monitor vital signs, observe and report client conditions, and adhere to infection control practices.
• Assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, fluid intake, and light housekeeping.
• Ensures client rights and confidentiality.
