Job summary

Robinson, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for weekend shifts (3/12's) at our Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility. You will operate cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment, performing material handling, site prep, maintenance, and daily inspections.

You should have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, a mechanical aptitude, and a strong safety mindset. The role requires teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to safety codes to meet production deadlines.

• Mechanical aptitude with construction, farm, or manufacturing exposure.
• High level of attention to detail with focus on safety and quality.
• A track-record of working safely, and helping others work safely, too.
• Able to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with teammates and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a fast-paced environment both indoor and outdoor while picking, setting, rigging, loading, unloading, traveling, and stacking manufacturing product.
• Preparing and maintaining safe work environment with communication between teams and external partners, using dunnage and other lifts as needed
• Perform daily and periodic inspections of work area, equipment, and rigging.
• Identify and communicate the need for maintenance, repair, or replacement of equipment, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations including wearing PPE and using hand signals, radios, and other communication. Report all safety issues and near misses.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and support lead to ensure efficient product flow and deadlines are met.
• Document work performed, product placement, maintenance paperwork, and other documentation.
• Offer suggestions for improvement such as equipment needed, space saving techniques, and communication paths.
