Job summary

Allegria Village in Dearborn is seeking a Part-Time Gatehouse Security Attendant to greet visitors, log activity, and help maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and guests. This light role is scheduled two weekends per month (about 32 hours) with day and afternoon shifts available.

You will monitor the gatehouse, conduct property rounds, complete logs and incident reports, respond to emergencies, and support leadership with safety tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security, safety, customer service, or related work.
• Strong communication and professionalism.
• Ability to stay calm and make good decisions in stressful situations.
• Comfortable writing reports and using basic computer systems (Microsoft Office).
• Dependable, observant, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver’s license required (for patrol vehicle use).
• First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Greet and log all visitors, residents, and employees.
• Monitor gatehouse activity and help direct traffic on campus.
• Complete daily logs and routine reports.
• Conduct regular property rounds (buildings and grounds).
• Patrol campus to support a safe environment.
• Respond calmly to emergencies, including medical situations.
• Complete incident reports when needed.
• Support leadership with additional safety and administrative tasks.
