Job summary

State of Florida is seeking a motivated OPS Food Support Worker for Land O' Lakes, FL. The role supports the nursing facility’s food service operation, working under supervision to prepare, cook, and serve meals while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.

The position emphasizes excellent customer service, reliable attendance, and basic computer skills to manage orders and inventories. This OPS (temporary) role may lead to additional opportunities within six months.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have excellent customer skills and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with food service in a cafeteria style setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily food service operations under supervision.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in production and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas and proper temps on grills, stoves, fryer and broiler.
• Prepare and cook hot and cold items per menu and recipes.
• Assist with inventory, purchases, and stock controls.
• Attend in-service trainings and perform related duties including catering events and meal charges.
