Job summary

Hackensack Public Schools seeks certified teachers for Central Intervention, Friday School, and Saturday School programs for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions meet two afternoons per week (Fridays 3–5 PM) and two Saturdays per month (8:30–10:30 AM), with additional after-hours duties as needed.

Applicants must be current Hackensack Public Schools employees with New Jersey State Teacher Certification. Total hours capped at 140, at compensation per HBOE/HEA agreement.

Qualifications

• Must be a current employee of Hackensack Public Schools with the appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification.
• Experience with after-school programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized Central Intervention, Friday School, and Saturday School program.
• Keep accurate attendance records.
• Monitor student comportment and behavior.
• Work with students on assignments.
• Make phone calls to students who do not attend.
