Job summary

Hackensack Public Schools seeks certified teachers for Central Intervention, Friday School, and Saturday School programs for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions meet two afternoons per week (Fridays 3–5 PM) and two Saturdays per month (8:30–10:30 AM), with additional after-hours duties as needed.

Applicants must be current Hackensack Public Schools employees with New Jersey State Teacher Certification. Total hours capped at 140, at compensation per HBOE/HEA agreement.

Qualifications

• Must be a current employee of Hackensack Public Schools with the appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification.
• Experience with after-school programs is a plus.

Description:

Four Certified Teachers

• Central Intervention School - will meet twodays a week from 3 pm to 4 pm;
• Friday School - will meet two times per month from 3 pm to 5 pm;
• Saturday School - will meet two times per month from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.

Job Summary:

• Teacher(s) will maintain an organized Central Intervention, Friday School, and Saturday School program that will facilitate instruction and counseling;
• Teacher(s) must keep accurate attendance records;
• Monitor student comportment;
• Work with students on assignments;
• Make phone calls to students that do not attend.
