Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer in Sanford, NC. This part-time role offers flexible shifts via our shift-pickup platform, with weekend availability required and shifts in afternoon, evening, or overnight blocks.

You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents across sites, gaining hands-on experience across industries while supporting a collaborative, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police or fire department in case of emergency or unauthorized access.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
