Power Wellness Lake Forest Health & Fitness Center is seeking a weekend part-time Fitness Assistant to ensure top-tier member service and a safe, well-maintained fitness floor. Responsibilities include supervising the floor, scheduling assessments, and guiding members through basic instruction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in health-related program; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior fitness industry experience or internship required.
• Outgoing and personable; able to motivate members.
• CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• NCCA accredited certification preferred.
• Certification for some specialty group exercise class instruction as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with members positively.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee fitness floor interactions and maintain a safe environment.
• Schedule appointments for assessments, orientations and follow-ups.
• Provide fitness floor supervision, orientations and basic instruction.
• Respond to medical emergencies as the first responder with AED and supplies; complete incident reports.
• Assist in planning and implementing member retention programs.
• Promote and sell ancillary services (personal training, programs, coaching, nutrition).
• Maintain knowledge of events and activities in the center.
• Perform facility rounds every 30–60 minutes; monitor pool, locker rooms, and fitness areas.
• Open and close procedures on scheduled days, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain cleanliness of fitness areas and equipment; report maintenance needs.
