Job summary

Doyle Security Services, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to observe and report activities at client sites, perform rounds, and ensure the safety of property and people.

This role requires standing for extended periods and operates on Fridays and Saturdays 7am to 3pm. Licensing requirements include a T-89 or F89 FDNY Fire Life Safety Director license and a NYS Security Guard license; an associate degree or higher in a fire/security related field is preferred, and

Qualifications

• Valid T-89 or F89 FDNY Fire Life Safety Director License.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License; minimum 2 years Hotel FLSD experience.
• Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field.

Responsibilities

• Multiple tours of the facility during your shift.
• Operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Work overtime and weekends.
• Assist residents/customers with access control issues.
• Tour the entire facility multiple times per shift.
